Tracing images and generating 3D geometry in Houdini procedural using PDG. I did not create the original images, they are from a classic RPG Planescape Torment. I really like the symbols and they are quite complex so I thought they would be good tests for the process. I downloaded them from the wiki: planescape-8.obsidianportal.com/wikis/factions. The next step is model some items: an amulet, coin, signet ring and wax seal and then propagate the symbol geometry to each item.
